I Beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.         Romans 12:1-2

HISTORY

The Drug Bust Ministry began meeting weekly in 1997 after Pastor McDonald heard many testimonies of deliverance from drug addiction within his congregation.  He knew that there were yet many people including his own brother, who needed support and encouragement to overcome their addictions.  The voice of the Lord spoke to him and he heard the words "Drug Bust".  After consulting with members of his congregation and in the community, the format was developed to organize a weekly  support group with a strong spiritual open structure.

PURPOSE

bulletTo provide a safe place to share feelings, thoughts and concerns
bulletTo project purposeful activities designed to promote emotional, intellectual, spiritual and social growth of individuals and strengthen the aspects of the community environment, which are supportive to them in order to prelude the use of, or return to, substance abuse
bulletThe primary prevention of social and behavioral problems is accomplished through ongoing processes that provide opportunities for creative use of spiritual resources so that participants have the ability to effectively cope with typical life problems and recognize unnecessary or debilitating stress without abusing themselves.
